		Introduction To carry out full asbestos project management and asbestos contractor supervision, it is a requirement under the current asbestos regulations that the managing company must be fully licensed by the Health and Safety Executive for asbestos supervision. Oracle Solutions are fully licensed by the HSE, and fully insured to undertake this type of work. Our management of asbestos projects does not begin and end with asbestos. We are fully experienced in managing, organising and completing all aspects of projects, ranging from full tendering processes, procurement, CDM requirements etc; through to complete on site management of soft strip, demolition, rebuild, refit and general construction. 		Asbestos Project Management Why do I need it? Any licensed asbestos works are required to be undertaken by a currently HSE licensed asbestos contractor. Although a contractor may be licensed it does not prove or substantiate in any way the quality of on site workmanship or employees. The licence in brief only signifies that as a company they understand and have in place the systems to undertake work in full compliance with current regulations. This is why the asbestos supervisory licence was brought into operation. This allows a client to employ a supervisory / project management company to ensure that all works undertaken by the asbestos contractor are completed to the highest standards ensuring the safety of anyone who may be involved with the project, either directly or indirectly. This supervision ensures that all works are completed in full accordance with the clients instructions and as such gives the client peace of mind that the completed works include everything that has been paid for. This gives the client value for their money without compromise.
		What do I get?
		In brief asbestos supervisory or project management includes the following: Project Management and supervision allows Oracle Solutions to have a direct and immediate influence over site activities. Basic duty's and checks include but are not limited to: Reviewing methods, risk assessments and plans of work; Ensuring adequacy of equipment and controls; Ensuring appropriateness of techniques and methods involved in the remedial work; Ensuring site preparation and cleanliness to the clients satisfaction; Ensuring controls in place are monitored and inspected; Ensuring arrangements for waste removal and transit routes are detailed and adequate; When work commences the project manager ensures that: The plan of work is in line with the clients specified requirements; The plan of work is understood and signed by each contractor; The medical surveillance records for each asbestos operative are in date and available for inspection; The asbestos removal operatives hold a face fit certificate for their chosen respirators; The equipment utilised is inspected, pat tested, complies with PAS 60 (Publicly Available Specifications) and for extraction equipment has a valid DOP (Dispersed Oil Particulate) test certificate; The contractor follows the plan of work and does not deviate from the written instructions; Smoke testing of asbestos enclosures are recoded, witnessed and detailed; Enclosure integrity inspections are undertaken daily and recorded; Air monitoring is undertaken at strategic times to ensure compliance with the regulations; The client is informed of any amendments to the plan of work or site activities; On Completion of the remedial work, Oracle Solutions will propose that the client or clients representative attend a hand over meeting to discuss the work and the final condition of the site and ensure client satisfaction with the completed works prior to giving the contractor a completion certificate. If the client is happy with the works, a copy of the 'Certificate of Reoccupation' will be left with the client whilst we prepare a detailed report containing the full details of the works. The report will contain a copy of the 'Certificate of Reoccupation', any waste consignment notes and other additional, relevant information that the client may require. We will then help the client review their asbestos management plan and asbestos register to see if amendments are required following any asbestos remediation.
